as a Cantonese speaker, i've never read anything. reading Mandarin now, I can only read the words but I can't translate them, anyone else or just me?
I just started on Duolingo last night. I wish it did canto too. But mandarin is good enough for me. My dad speaks both, he wants me to learn mando, my mom rarely speaks toisan. And they never taught me. I’m so ashamed I can’t speak, but I’m trying now…
